No. Hobbsless uses vibration sensing to detect engine runtime, so installation is as simple as mounting the stick to your engine.
There is a free tier with standard features, unlimited equipment and ad-free experience will live in a low-cost subscription. There is also a Teams plan for schools and the like that allows for multiple users to manage the same equipment.
